Hello, hello, hello! How are you?
It's been a while since we've chatted and it is certainly time for an update!
There's been lots going on around here. Some good, some a bad :(.
The worst thing is that I fell down a flight of steps about a month and a half ago (it was a short flight, only 3 steps!) and BADLY sprained BOTH of my ankles. Oh gosh...don't ask. It was misery for a while there. There was a week where I just couldn't dye a single thing because I couldn't stand. It was so bad.
But I'm better now, thank-you! Moving around just fine. Still a little swelling, but ok. Alright! Enough of the medical update!
I am so, so, so thrilled that our first INTERWEAVE KNITS ad will be in the Summer 08 issue. That's the next issue coming out. I so badly want to post it here, but it will have to wait because I don't want to spoil the surprise! I will post it right when the issue comes out for those of you international readers who don't get the mag.
Trying to put together a print ad is, quite frankly, grueling. There's so much that goes into it behind the scenes. There's photographing, layout, endless approvals and rejections and then, before you know it, BOOM! It's done and I'm glad! More on that later....
Like it? It's a new design of mine for Fall 2008. It features a new yarn (shhh... still a secret for another week or two!). It's just a little bit big for the model, but you get the idea! It's easy to knit in the round and knits up SUPER-FAST!
But, along with the glory usually comes the agony...
Take a look at this:
Yup! That is the "before" shot you see in the sweater... And Yes, I did take the time and unwind it all. How did it happen you ask? I have no idea. My staff brought it to me this way. Some bad joke or something :-). No harm, no foul though as it turned into the beautiful sweater you see before you!
